It’s been a busy week for the cricketers of Belvedere with a number of matches taking place. The U13A team began their league campaign with a narrow loss out in Gonzaga. The effort was superb but inexperience eventually saw the boys just fall short.

At the same time, the Junior XI were playing Sandford Park in a winner takes all elimination match. After posting a respectable 112 off 20 overs, the lads came up against an in form opening partnership for Sandford. They chased down the total despite admirable resilience in the field.

On a brighter note, the seniors marched onto a semi final date with St Mary’s with a comprehensive victory over St Columba’s. Belvedere posted a huge total of 225 and then squeezed the life out of their opponents eventually bowling them out for 130. Impressive for Belvedere was Thomas Arnold, Sean O’Donoghue and Andrew Delany.

The Seniors are in action this Tuesday at 3pm in Terenure CC against St Mary’s with a place in the final up for grabs!
